First off, I've been wondering how everyone throws links and cool stuff into their journals, and I finally figured out that rich text mode is the answer. Alrighty then...

Now, back to the topic at hand - our local weather forecasters. Last night it rained. Big whoop. Not only have the "live weather teams" been notifying me of this since late last week, but I saw dark gray clouds in the sky. No huge leap of faith to see that it was going to rain. So it rained last night pretty hard.

This morning all of the news channels were pimping their new and improved "Live Doppler 7000+", "Sky Scan," Blah blah blah. They had taped news footage of last night with (gasp) water falling from the sky as well as live field reporters to tell us that the sky had not caved in. Apparently the weather is now safe to go out in. Oh my goodness!!! Do we not have any better news that this to talk about? This is So. Cal., we don't experience "severe weather."

I've been up since 4 am. Since there wasn't enough time to go back to bed, I dyed my hair. The color came out way darker than I had planned, and now I am re-evaluating whether or not the dark blond dye I bought for streaking my hair is going to make me look freakish (more so than planned anyway.) I may need to get a light brown instead. Oh well, my hair color is a continual adventure. If I screw it up I can always re-dye it.
