Observations

So I invited David over tonight to hang out and bitch. We went to SuperMex and then Target, where I broke down and bought a pre-paid wireless, no frills, cheap ass phone. (And so far, I can't seem to activate it online, hopefully the maintenance they are doing is actually a real thing and not an glich with the website.) So I haven't activated it yet and don't know my new cell number. David did come in handy with how to put it together for me.

Okay, so back to the reason for my subject line, I watched American Idol with him (which has a whole new meaning when watching it with a gay guy) Ohmygoodness. Okay, so I don't know these people's names, because I don't like reality shows, but one guy looked like Scott Peterson, one girl looked like she was trying to channel TIFFANY, and another girl apparently wants to be Ozzy's daughter. David was bummed that the pretty boy didn't win, but the "Matchbox 20 Guy" came a close second. I was just sad that he wrecked my "Las Vegas" tune. And Simon doesn't bug me nearly as much as Paula Abdul.

I also found the hornets nest, it is above my garage door (under the eave), but it is not IN my garage. I can't quite safely reach it to kill it, but at least now I can ask someone to come take care of it for me. And I know where to especially keep an eye out for it. No more in the house, no more that I could see anyway in the garage. I can sleep better tonight knowing that.

So I called my mom tonight and laid the bomb on her. Wow, I can't believe how unbelievably cool and supportive she was!! (I kept thinking, "is this MY MOM?") I am truly blessed in so many ways right now. I was so freaking out on calling her, but she was so very cool about it. She has never been a "that's my baby!" kinda mom. When my friends and I would screw up in school, my friends' parents would cover things up and defend their kids. My mom was more of a "throw the book at her!" kind of mother.
