Bra shopping.

I remember back when I was a 36 C, I loved bra shopping. I could get cute lacy models in any color of the rainbow. And pretty much I was the same size no matter what the brand was.

Not anymore. I've gotten older and bigger and this sucks. Depending on the brand I can be either a 40 C, a 40 D, or a 42 C. "Options" you say? No. I'm not saying that all of these sizes fit me, I'm saying that it's a crap shoot and it's a pain to get into the dressing room. I usually wind up taking about 20 bras into the dressing room (ignoring that 6 max sign) and winding up with about 3. And those three often wind up looking like granny bras with the big old triple hooks in the back and being comfy cotton.

So I went to Mervyns. They were having a sale. It took me about an hour and a half to try on I-don't-know-how-many bras. Walked out with 7 (three of them from the clearance rack.) That may sound like a lot of bras; but 2 of my current bras have broken underwires and 2 more are too tight (note to self - no more chucking them in the dryer.) Hopefully I won't have to buy any more for at least a year or so.
