What a great appointment. For the last 15 years or so, I've had doctors tell me that the pressures in my eyes is high. I've had the same doctor for the past 5 years and love him love him love him.
Well I went and saw him for my annual exam and told him how I went and saw a opthamologist about 6 months ago for my headaches, and she had ruled out glaucoma. So he did some of the tests he has done before, and then busted out his brand new machine for checking the thickness of corneas.
He said that I have the thickest corneas he has seen all week, and in fact that balances out the high pressures. So once he factored in the numbers from the new process with the other one he had just done (which said I had high pressures) it totally balanced me out and put me in the normal column. Then I went out and met with his assistant, who has the greatest sense in eyewear, and told him that I loved my current frames so much (that he picked out last time) that I was counting on him to pick out another great pair this time.
I expected to like the new ones about the same as my current frames, but he picked out a fabulous pair from Dior that are black and have little tiny "diamonds" along the side "arms." Not so glittery that I look like a Paris wanna-be, but more stylish then what I currently wear. He said that they will be ready in a week.
