You're welcome.

I had a very productive meeting, a very productive lunch, and I just faxed off my request for my UCI Extension certificate since I finish my class next week and fully expect to get an "A." (You see this picture I'm using on my icon? Yup, that's me.)

The funniest thing is that a student answered the phone and she told me 3 or 4 times that I had to SIGN the document and to make sure that my SIGNATURE was on there because it's SO IMPORTANT TO HAVE A SIGNATURE. Okay, I get it, sign the form.

So I got the form, guess what line they left off of the form? Yup - a signature line. So I signed it near the top and faxed it over. Wouldn't it just be easier to change the online form?

I just read that tomorrow night's ep is Michael-centric.

Yuck.

I don't like Michael, he always sounds whiney, even before he lost Walt and ran around the island yelling "WWAAAALLLLLLLLLTTTTTTTTTT!" all the time.

This is how you could have done my rebate letter.

This information brought to you by the OC Register:

How much will your tax rebate check be? Find out here.

March 18th, 2008

More than 130 million people are expected to receive tax rebate checks starting in May as part of the federal government’s economic stimulus program. Payment amounts will equal the amount of your tax liability on your 2007 income tax return, with maximum amounts of $600 for single filers and $1,200 for joint filers and minimum amounts of $300 and $600, respectively. Parents will receive an additional $300 for each eligible child younger than 17.

Those with little or no tax liability, but $3,000 or more in qualifying income, may qualify to receive a minimum payment of $300 for single filers and $600 for joint return filers. Millions of retirees, disabled veterans and low-wage workers who usually are exempt from filing a tax return must do so this year in order to receive a stimulus payment.

To receive a payment, taxpayers must have a valid Social Security number, at least $3,000 of income and file a 2007 federal tax return. Elmer Frejoles, general manager of the Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc. office here in Irvine, sent in five tips for making sure you get your share of the federal government’s economic stimulus program. Here are the tips:

1. File your 2007 Income Tax Return - You not only may be one of the 85 percent of taxpayers who have a tax refund coming each year - you may also qualify for a stimulus payment check.

2. File Early - The IRS will still send out checks through December, but why wait? Submitting your return earlier means that you can be assured that it has been received and your rebate check will be processed.

3. E-file - Give yourself the convenience, speed and assurance that your income tax return is received.

4. Zero income, zero tax or zero tax payments? File anyway. Certain qualifying individuals, including seniors, who do not typically file an income tax return each year must file this year to ensure they get a tax rebate. Those who do not regularly file income tax returns, but earn a low income, as well as Social Security recipients, certain railroad retirees, and those who receive select veteran’s benefits, must file a 2007 income tax return.

5. Watch out for your two IRS notices - Most taxpayers will receive two notices from the IRS - one explaining the stimulus payment program and another confirming the recipient’s eligibility, the payment amount and the approximate time table for the payment. Save the second notice to help in preparing your 2008 tax return next year. (I think this means that the rebate is taxable - my mother is sure to snark.)
