David and I hit the Irvine Spectrum last night to have dinner and do some shopping. I treated him to dinner at CPK where I got the roasted garlic chicken pizza and he got the Sicilian Nepolean pizza.
Then it was off the the bookstore to exchange a book I bought online (it was the wrong version) and I picked up two more books. He got the 9/11 report.
Then it was off to Robinsons-May. First we looked at shoes and purses and I felt the cheap freak within begin to revolt. David sensed my panic and usered me over to clothes. I said that I'd look at suits later, but needed to pick up some blouses, maybe some pants, a few belts, etc.
Then we saw it. The sale rack.
Karen Scott business coordinates that were so cheap it should have been illegal to sell them at that price.
I walked away with two full suits, two additional jackets, a beautiful boiled wool jacket, two additional pairs of slacks, a long skirt, a shell top, and a blouse for $130!!!! Slacks were ringing up at $5.59 Insane!!! I didn't have a store credit card, and was going to pay with my bank card, but I got another 10% off for opening the store card, so I did. I can pay it off and close the store card. (Which I swear I've done at least 2 or 3 other times over the years.)
David also bought me a Liz Clairborn purse that I had been drooling over, but had felt too cheap to buy (it was $45) (It's black and has a really long adjustable strap, the inside is red, and it's just kinda edgy enough to be cool, but well, it's just cool.) It's not like the cheap crappy purses I normally buy.
So then with my new store card with the 10% off, we went upstairs, and I bought him two dress shirts for $20. I've never shopped like that, I've never saved like that. It was almost as great as an orgasm.
