No Doubt

I used to love No Doubt, I used to go see them at The Whiskey in Hollywood since a guy I used to (I guess you could call it "date") grew up near Gwen's grandfather. Since they were the same age, they'd hang out. So we'd go and see them and hang out a bit and it was great!

Their music was fun, it was different from mainstream KROQ, and Gwen really showed the range of her vocals. Then they got popular (KROQ noticed them.) and the music became less vibrant and more just bubble gum pop. Now they are played on KIIS FM no less!

Now everywhere I turn, they are playing the No Doubt remake of "It's My Life" and I'm just so blah over it.

I bet they were fun before they got popular. Considering Gwen wasn't even in the band when it formed she certainly has become the head of it now. It's such a business though.
